Review: Etude House Play Color Eyes Lavender [Jolse]

Hola a todos! Porfin les tengo una nueva reseña de maquillaje y es otra paleta, mi primera paleta de la marca Etude House  cada año la marca saca una colección especial de maquillaje con un tema muy peculiar, el año pasado el tema fue la 'Lavanda' y no podía quedarme sin esta paleta tan bonita, porque amo ese color, pero lo malo de estas sombras Coreanas es que son famosas por no tener tanta pigmentación como las sombras de marcas occidentales, pero para mí es una buena opción para uso diario, así que comencemos...

Today's post is an eye palette review, my first Etude House palette, this brand every year surprise us with a makeup launch with an special theme, the past year was: Violet, so according to this theme they launched this beauty eye palette, that I was so excited to try because I love this color. Korean shadows has 'bad' reviews for the low intensity of pigment but I think is good for a daily use, so let's started...

Esta paleta tiene un total de 10 sombras con diferentes terminados que son perfectos para cualquier look de día. Esta es mi segunda paleta 'Coreana' la primera fue TONYMOLY Perfect Eye Multi Palette (click) a pesar de tener una pigmentación baja a comparación de otras sombras fue mi favorita para usar a diario para ir a mi trabajo, este forma me gusta porque es compacta y te sirve para todo. Además no me he acabado ninguna sombra a pesar de usarla a diario XD

This eye palette has in total 10 shadows with different finishes that are great for any eye look for every day.This is my second experience with eye shadow palette, the first one was TONYMOLY Perfect Eye Multi Palette (click) and was my favorite for a completely year, I used every day in the week for my job. And I was completely in love even of the low pigmentation.

El empaquete es encantador, empezando por la caja en color violeta con violetas a su alrededor hecha de cartón, después al sacar la paleta es del mismo color con un logo con lavandas, atrás de la paleta y de la caja puedes encontrar el nombre de cada sombra en Coreano, para mí es algo innecesario pero a las marcas les encanta nombrar cada sombra y la verdad es que yo nunca checo el nombre.

It has a lovely packaging with lavender flowers on the box and the palette is made of matte plastic with a logo with more lavender flowers, on the back you will find the name of each shadow in Korean, for me is unnecessary this type of information but the brands likes to named all shadows.

Ahora pasemos a la paleta, tiene una selección muy bonita de colores, y en vez de brocha tiene dos aplicadores de plástico con su esponja a los lados, yo personalmente no me gustan estos aplicadores, hubiera preferido una brocha simple en vez de estos,así que no los uso y mejor los tire para tener espacio y llevar mi propia brocha.

Al abrir la paleta tiene un plástico protector con dibujos y el nombre de la sombra, ahí te puedes dar una idea de cual es el nombre de cada sombra. Ahora si pasemos a las sombras, si se dan cuenta esta paleta solo tiene 2 colores realmente en tonos violetas y los restantes es una combinación entre cafés, rojizos y dorados.

Now the palette, it has a beauty selection of colors, with a couple of plastic applicators with little sponges, I don't like this applicators because is difficult to apply the shadows with them. So I will throw it away.

On the top of the shadow you will find a cute printed plastic with the name of the shadow and a draw so you can get an idea of what's the name of each shadow. Now lets take a look of the palette, if you look with attention this palette only has two shadows in violet tones, the rest is a nice combination between brown, reddish and gold.

Ahora pasemos a los swatches, esta paleta tiene diferentes texturas o terminados, dos sombras con glitter, tres sombras mattes y 5 sombras con brillo o satinadas, tienen buen pigmento, nada exagerado como otras marcas pero se pueden trabajar bien con ellos usando brochas o con tus dedos para intensificar la pigmentación de las satinadas por ejemplo.

Here are the swatches of all shadows, this palette has different textures and finishes, two glittery , 3 matte and 5 satiny shadows, all with good pigment not too exagerated like other brands but you can work with them using overlays or with your fingers to more intensity in your eyelid.

Algo que me sorprendió mucho de esta paleta fueron las sombras satinadas, a pesar de tener brillo al aplicarlas con brocha quedaban como si fuera una sombra matte regular y se difuminan como cualquier sombra normal y puedes combinar varias en tus ojos sin parches, entonces a pesar de tener diferente fórmula tiene mínimo 7 sombras que puedes trabajar de diferente manera para crear más looks, les dejo un mini tutorial con 4 sombras de la paleta, tengo que agregar que los swatches y el tutorial es sin usar primer de ojos porque yo no uso a diario y para mi así es suficiente. 

Also the satiny shadows can be worked with a regular brush and the finish is like a matte shadow, so that is a great thing to have multi uses for one shadow, here is a quick tutorial with only 3 shadows, for this pigment I use at least 2 layers of shadow with a brush to have a nice pigment, the swatches and the mini tutorial were made without primer.

Hago paréntesis para decirles que la última sombra es la primera de la paleta es de glitter y tiene un destello holografico hermoso, entre morado y verde, el glitter o brillantina es extremadamente pequeño, yo la aplico con los dedos para agarrar más producto y que se queden pegados los brillos, al usarla no tengo brillos por toda mi cara como con otras sombras y el duran todo el día. 

This last step is with the first shadow that has an incredible litmus effect between purple and green, the glitter is extremely small and with one slide in the shadow you will get enough glitter to cover your full eyelid. I'm always use my fingers to apply this shadows and the glitter doesn't fall in my face like others.

Opinion final: Creo que es una excelente paleta para alguien que no busca un pigmento extremo o simplemente quiera algo para uso diario que puedas traer sin problemas en cualquier bolsa con espejo y brocha incluida y no cargar más cosas en tu cosmetiquera. Como les dije yo uso brochas para aplicar las sombras y se difumina y aplican muy fácilmente, además puedes hacer looks muy naturales o algo más coloridos con las sombras de color, es muy versátil y las sombras con glitter me enamoraron, solo la morada la dorada no tiene tanto brillo. 

Si están buscando una paleta para cualquier día sin sentirse en peligro por tanto pigmento este tipo de paletas es para ustedes, pero si quieren algo más intenso no les va a gustar para nada. Esta paleta y más pueden conseguirla en Jolse que como siempre tiene los mejores productos, ustedes la comprarían? Quieren esta versión o alguna otra? Final Opinion: I think is a great palette for anybody who's looking for a nice combination of colors and for a daily use, nothing extravagant but very workly, as I said I use all of the shadow with brushes and the effect and pigment are perfect for me, with this range of colors between neutrals and something violet you can create everyday looks and something special with the glitter shadows.

If you're looking for the best ultra pigmentation this palette isn't for you, if you're looking for something neutral with a good pigmentation and a good blending without much of work this is a palette for you, with this colors you can create any look for any eye color.
